My name is Deakin Ng. I’m a soft-tip darts coach based in Vancouver, a sponsored athlete, and the founder of iDartsLife. I grew up in Hong Kong and moved to Canada when I was twelve.
From Radio to the Oche
Before darts, I spent over a decade in radio. From 2006 to 2017, I hosted and produced programs while mentoring young people through the production process. Those years shaped how I think about preparation, performance, and showing up.
I picked up soft-tip darts in 2014. The more I played, the more the sport revealed about myself. I began competing internationally and coaching in Vancouver. Each time I stepped to the line, the same lessons kept surfacing: focus, honesty, resilience.
iDartsLife
In 2023, I founded iDartsLife to share those lessons. The following year, I began coaching in Vancouver to bring the sport to more people across the city. As a sponsored athlete under Target Sports Japan and Phoenix Darts North America, I bring that competitive experience into my coaching and content. My first book,, Darts Don’t Lie (《飛鏢不說謊》), was published in 2026 in English and Traditional Chinese.

What This Is Really About
The trophies and ratings tell one story. But iDartsLife was never built on those.
It was built on the belief that what darts teaches you matters more than what it rewards you. Focus under pressure. Learning to reset after a miss. Showing up consistently when no one is watching.
These are things I learned standing at a board, and they’re the things I now teach, through coaching, through writing, and through every piece of content I put out.
If you found iDartsLife, you probably already sense that darts is more than a game. I built this for you.
